Contemporary Graphic Designs-A Quantum Leap!
by THOTIN
“I look at design as the vehicle for communication. Creativity is the fuel to get that vehicle moving. The process gets faster and easier if you practice and ‘refuel’ in fun new ways.” —Kimberly Beyer
Any great graphic design is highly interactive, appealing as well as informative. As the ground rule suggests that there’s no easy shortcut for any grand graphic design, but a designer must read, explore, research and then create. Designing is all about creative outlook and there’s no set principles for it, but amidst all creative anarchism the perspective must be secured.
In the contemporary world of advertising and marketing, graphic designing is the protocol that is used for favorable branding, logo designing and as a marketing tool. A graphic designer integrates images, typography and even motion graphics to create a customized design for any organization or corporate house. It’s the final draft of the graphic design that is launched via multiple channels and media to earmark the identity of any entity or brand. So, any graphic design must substantiate a customer’s ‘uniqueness’ from the competitors in the market.
Commercial framework
Branding your business or entity or any other personal asset can provide it a ‘persona’ to be remarked in the commercial world. Graphic design, being the finest mode of instant visual communication must be logical, illustrative and problem-solving through pertinent use of typeface, space and image graphics.
Core design concepts
Creating a visual impact is one of the core concepts of any graphic design as it has the potential to sell a commodity or launch a brand by communicating with the target audience .For any commercial endorsement like posters, logos websites or mobile apps to work, communication must be at the heart of it. If a visual communication is endowed with an effective slogan or verbal message, the graphic output becomes far more influential.
Second most important thing about any efficient graphic design is the tuning between the design elements and the client’s message. Remember, you must use the right interplay of format, color contours and imagery.
A graphic design must have its own control, that it should guide the viewer from where to start navigating it. This can be achieved by emphasizing one element more than the other thereby creating a hierarchy within the ‘copy’. This can be done solely by the designer by adjusting the visual weight, positioning and tones of color of the various elements. This helps in rightfully engaging the viewer and hence absorbing the right message.
Research in designing
Analysis of any existing artistic design and simultaneously thinking of new ways to present the idea behind it, certainly, needs good amount of research skills in any graphic designer. As the major task of any great graphic design is to convince the audience for buying the product or solution it ‘portrays’ so a designer needs to research well about the ‘process school’, an approach for effective communication.
Technical portfolio
Computer’s can be well implemented to enhance any creative process. It helps to excess limitless design ideas within no time, but it is only the responsibility of the designer to find the best design solution.
Remember the best graphic designers, like Thotin, are those who are willing to invest time and draw strategies to design a concept and not just a graphic ‘output’. After all, It’s the ability to push beyond the boundaries that makes for a creative leader.
